About us

The New Church Buccleuch is a group of individuals and families committed to learning from and following the Lord (that is, Jesus Christ) as the one living and loving and ever-present God of heaven and earth.

It is a small but vital community of about 125 adults and children spread over much of Gauteng. People often drive 20-30 minutes, or even more, to attend church on Sunday mornings.

We are an English speaking New Church group, even though our congregation consists of people from many backgrounds and languages. There are a number of other New Church groups in Gauteng which cater for the language requirements of their particular location, such as isiZulu or Sesotho.

The New Church is a spiritual movement that is already established and growing in many countries around the world. In South Africa there are more people who are part of this New Church than in any other country.

The New Church Buccleuch is a growing reflection of the new South Africa.
